Libertyville moves up while Deerfield/Highland Park, Lakes and Zion-Benton all enter the rankings.

The Sequoits are ranked No. 9 in the country following an impressive 6-1 victory against No. 12 Lincoln-Way East.

2. Mundelein 5-0 (2)

Shae Johnson has been lights out in the circle, striking out 55 in 24 1/3 innings, and is batting .529 with six RBIs.

3. Warren 4-2 (3)

Hannah Conger is hitting .476 with a 1.143 slugging percentage, three homers and 12 RBIs.

4. Wauconda 4-3 (4)

Alyssa Threde is building off a solid showing last season by leading the Bulldogs with a .611 average.

5. Stevenson 3-4 (5)

Jasmine Lucero, a freshman, is hitting a lot of line drives and showing great promise at shortstop.

6. Libertyville 4-5 (8)

Taylor Higham’s strong hitting and pitching spark the Wildcats during their spring break trip.

7. Grayslake Central 2-1 (6)

Annie Wolff is 1-1 with seven strikeouts in 11 innings for the Rams.

8. Deerfield/Highland Park 1-0-1 (NR)

Tatum Danielewicz is hitting .500 and has scored half of her team’s runs, and she has struck out 17 batters in 14 innings.

9. Lakes 4-4 (NR)

Mckenzie Fullington is batting .400 with two doubles, a triple, a home run and seven RBIs.

10. Zion-Benton 2-1 (NR)

Ashlyn Totsch has made a big leap since last season, hitting .444 and leading the Zee-Bees with six RBIs.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Antioch senior pitcher Jacey Schuler, a Michigan State recruit, is 5-0 with a 0.46 ERA and 69 strikeouts, surpassing 800 strikeouts in her career.
