Boy, 15, wounded Friday night in Streeterville neighborhood, police say

A 15-year-old boy was wounded Friday night when groups of teens flooded the Streeterville neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Shortly before 9:45 p.m., officers on patrol in the 400 block of North City Front Plaza Drive heard gunshots in the area and saw a large group of teens fleeing the scene.

A 15-year-old boy was lying on the ground with a graze wound to the leg, police said. The boy was taken to Lurie Children’s Hospital where he was listed in good condition, police said.

No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
