A 5-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Wednesday morning in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 10 a.m., the boy was outside with a man in the 1200 block of North Laramie Avenue when shots rang out. The boy suffered a wound to the left leg, and was taken to Stroger Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.
No one was in custody for the shooting, and detectives were investigating.
