Nine-year-old Natalie Sieracki spent her sister’s softball game in Horner Park Saturday evening cartwheeling on the grass. She didn’t notice the large, unleashed dog nearby until it attacked her. When she broke away from the animal, she raced towards her parents in the bleachers, screaming and crying. Her back was covered in bite marks. Woman receives 20 years after pleading guilty to 2003 murder of twin infant sons

A woman accused of suffocating her newborn twin sons 21 years ago pled guilty to their murders Tuesday and will serve 20 years in prison, according to Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart’s office. Antoinette Briley, 44, was convicted six years after authorities reopened an investigation into the deaths of two infants found in the trash in unincorporated Stickney Township in June 2003, according to the sheriff’s office.
