Residents of a burned out, unlivable condominium building held a meeting last Wednesday hoping to hear from the homeowners association or construction company whether their units will be rebuilt soon. To their chagrin, they still don’t know. In May 2022, fire gutted the Bristol Court condo building at 200 Thames Parkway in the north suburb. The 36-unit was left uninhabitable and owners displaced. Workers at Advocate Luther General receive ‘thank you’ flower bouquets: ‘It was an honor’

Workers in several departments at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital got a special delivery last Thursday, with dozens of floral bouquets given to them as part of a local service organization’s effort to spread joy. More than 200 floral arrangements were delivered to the hospital campus in Park Ridge on Nov. 14, gifted from Inspire Through Flowers, self-described as an organization that repurposes some flowers and gives them to health care workers, patients and other community groups, according to a news release.
