Male victim fatally wounded Tuesday evening on Northside in Uptown neighborhood

A male victim was fatally wounded Tuesday evening on the Northside in the Uptown neighborhood, Chicago police said. The victim, whose exact age has not been confirmed, was found wounded shortly after 7:30 p.m. in the 900 block of West Eastwood Avenue. Police said someone fired shots, striking the victim to the leg. He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he later was pronounced dead. No one was in custody for the fatal shooting and detectives were investigating.  

Boy, 14, critically wounded in shooting Tuesday evening in Auburn Gresham neighborhood

A 14-year-old boy was in critical condition after being wounded Tuesday evening on the South Side in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood, Chicago police said. Shortly after 7:30 p.m., officers responding to a call of a person shot in the 7800 block of South Marshfield Avenue and found a boy struck by gunfire. The boy had suffered multiple wounds to the body, and was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital where he was listed in critical condition, police said. No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
