Chicago police said a male victim was fatally shot early Tuesday morning on the South Side in the Auburn Park neighborhood. Shortly before 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, an unidentified male was approached by someone who opened fire in his direction in the 7800 block of South Ashland Avenue. The victim was taken with a gunshot wound to the torso to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead. No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.

An unidentified man was discovered fatally wounded on the sidewalk overnight on the West Side in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, Chicago police said. Shortly before 2 a.m. Tuesday, a man was discovered lying on a sidewalk with gunshot wounds to the back and chest in the 4800 block of West Adams Street. He was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead. No one was in custody and detectives were investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.

The driver of a Lexus was pronounced dead, and two other people, including his passenger were injured overnight in an accident in the McKinley Park neighborhood, Chicago police said. Shortly before 2 a.m., the driver of a black Lexus sedan was headed north in the 3500 block of South Ashland Avenue when he blew a red light and was struck by a KIA SUV, police said.
