Evanston to participate in hypertension study based on social justice

The city of Evanston approved entering a pilot program study on high blood pressure to close a 13-year life expectancy gap between the city’s most vulnerable and wealthiest residents. The study would last for a year, and it’s goal is to reduce the blood pressure of its participants by 10 to 15 points and overall improve their quality of life, the program’s organizer, Neticia Waldron, said. Goats return to eat invasive plants in Glencoe; no need for herbicides, human workers

It was time for Goats in Glencoe 2.0. The week of Sept. 23 saw the return of a herd of goats tasked with removing invasive species from the Milton Park grounds simply by eating as much as they could. Last May, the Glencoe Park District initially brought the goats with over 800 people stopping by to take a look.
