Helene, the powerful storm that crashed into Florida late Thursday as a Category 4 hurricane, will deliver a gloomy weekend of weather to Chicagoland. SUV veers into a building overnight after an accident on South Side, cops say

A sedan struck a SUV causing it to lose control strike a building overnight on the South Side, Chicago police said. About 1 a.m. Friday, a 32-year-old man was headed west in the 1200 block of West 81st Street when he disregarded a traffic control device and collided with an SUV that lost control and struck a building, police said. The man and a woman passenger suffered minor injuries and were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where both were listed in fair condition.
