Motorized bicycle struck overnight in hit and run leaving victim critically injured in Brighton Park neighborhood
An unidentified male victim traveling on a motorized bike overnight in the Brighton Park neighborhood was in critical condition after being struck by a hit-and-run driver, Chicago police said. Shortly after 3:15 a.m. Saturday, the victim was traveling on a motorized bike in the 4000 block of South Cicero Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene, police said. The victim, whose age wasn’t immediately known, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and listed in critical condition. No one was in custody and the Major Accidents Investigation Unit was investigating.

16-year-old boy fatally shot Friday night in Little Village
A sixteen-year-old boy was fatally shot Friday night in Little Village, Chicago police said. Police responded to the 2400 block of South Trumbull Avenue at approximately 11:20 p.m. Friday and found the teen lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his lower back. He was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead. A witness told officers that they saw multiple men fleeing the scene after the shooting occurred, according to police. No one has been taken into custody.. Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting.
