As Mayor Lori Lightfoot called for the Illinois National Guard in Chicago as a Minnesota jury deliberated the fate of the former Minneapolis police officer charged with killing George Floyd, activists said Lightfoot is “reopening more trauma wounds” after the Chicago police killing of 13-year-old Adam Toledo and the arrest of protesters during a march for him.
