Chesterton

Liberty Bible Church: 824 N. Calumet Ave. — There will be a “Newcomer Coffee” event at Liberty Bible Church to provide new members with information and a place to connect. The 60-minute event will be an opportunity to ask questions and meet Pastor Tim and other new families. Childcare is available. Liberty Bible Church will have “InterGen Sunday” from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 30. “InterGen” or Intergenerational Sundays allow parents and children to worship together. St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church: 2426 W Burrell Dr. — St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church will have a NWI Veterans Village Meal Share July 7. Marquette Park United Methodist Church: 215 N. Grand Blvd — All are welcome to worship at 11:15 a.m. Sundays at Marquette Park United Methodist Church. There will be refreshments to follow in the Fellowship Hall.

Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church: 2949 Willowcreek Road — The church will hold a Mass at 8 a.m. on July 3 followed by a procession along the Prairie Duneland Trail to Chesterton. The procession is expected to take 4 hours. Participants should wear good walking shoes and bring food and water. A Benediction will be held for pilgrims walking only one mile. V1 Church:  6322 Portage Ave. — All are welcome to join Pastor Mike Signorelli from V1 church and youth around the world to worship beginning at 7 p.m. July 5. Whiting

St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church: 2011 Clark Street — As part of National Eucharistic Week, Mike Aguilina will have a presentation at 6 p.m. on July 1 about early Christians and the Eucharist, followed by a Eucharistic procession through Whiting. The procession will conclude with a Benediction at 7:30 p.m. at Whiting Lakefront Park beach, located at 500 Park Road. Register for these events at dcgary.org/2024pilgrimage. The procession will be followed by a party on Lakefront Park beach at 7:45 p.m. that will include a meal, music, dancing and fellowship. St. Teresa Catholic Student Center: 1511 Laporte Ave. — There will be a three-mile procession to St. Paul Catholic Church starting at 4:30 p.m. on July 3. Register at dcgary.org/2024pilgrimage.
