Two retail stores on the Northwest Side were burglarized 20 minutes apart Sunday night, according to Chicago police.
The first burglary was on the 3400 block of West Addison Street at approximately 8:35 p.m. The second was on the 3600 block of West Montrose Avenue at approximately 8:55 p.m.
In both cases, two unidentified men entered the store demanding money from the clerks. One was armed with a handgun. When the clerks complied, the men fled the scene.
No injuries were reported and no one is in custody for either burglary. Area Five Detectives are investigating both.
Meanwhile, two retail stores on the 2200 block of North Lincoln Avenue were burglarized at approximately 3:30 a.m. Monday, according to Chicago police.
Officers reporting to the scenes discovered the front windows of both stores shattered.
Merchandise was reported on the floor at one store, and officers said the suspects fled the other store with miscellaneous merchandise in two awaiting vehicles: a silver sedan and a black sedan.
Mr. Vape and Smoke was one of the burglarized stores, according to surveillance footage obtained by ABC 7 Eyewitness News. The store was the victim of another smash-and-grab last Tuesday.
