A 57-year-old man was charged Wednesday in connection with the fatal stabbings of two people in recent days in the Gage Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Robert Romo of the Clearing neighborhood was charged with two counts of first degree murder in the stabbing deaths of a 64-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man on March 23 at a residence in the 5300 block of South Kedzie Avenue, police said.
Police said Romo then went to a second location in the same block and stabbed a 44-year-old woman.
He also was charged with aggravated battery/use of a deadly weapon. He was arrested a short time after the attacks, police said.
Romo was scheduled to appear at a detention hearing Wednesday.
