The County Department of Veterans Affairs is accepting applications for the Chicago Cook Technology Academy, a training program designed to provide veterans with critical career skills in the technology industry. The county has partnered with Microsoft and National Able Network to offer this free 11-week course. Applications are due by midnight Tuesday, Nov. 28. The course begins on December 4, 2023.Veterans who live in Chicago or suburban Cook County are encouraged to apply.The program is based on curriculum developed for Microsoft’s Software and Systems Academy. Participants are trained in cloud development or cloud administration by National Able Network’s IT Career Lab expert instructors.
