Chicago police have a male in custody Tuesday evening after they said he stabbed two males in Chicago’s Loop before the victims disarmed him and stabbed him multiple times.
The stabbing happened around 5:15 p.m. near the Grant Skate Park in the 1100 block of South Michigan Avenue, according to police. The stabbing occurred following a quarrel between the alleged attacker and the two victims, who were all of unknown age, police said.
The attacker allegedly pulled a sharp object and stabbed the victims, one of them in the chest while the second victim suffered a cut, police said. The men then stabbed the attacker multiple times in the body with his own implement.
The alleged attacker was taken to Stroger Hospital, while the victim, who was stabbed in the chest, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said. Both were listed in critical condition. Authorities recovered a knife and the attacker was placed in police custody as criminal charges were pending, police said.
