The Oak Park Farmers’ Market will host its annual corn roast on Aug. 10.

Coming off of the push to get votes for the Oak Park market to take top place — and a share of $15,000 — in the annual “America’s Farmers Market Celebration,” annual corn roast is set for Saturday.

Attendees will have access to fresh-picked corn sold by the ear “hot off the roaster” until around noon. The sale doubles as a fundraising event.

Registration is also open for annual “Pie Bake-Off” scheduled for next month.

Amateur culinary crafters are invited to “show off your baking skills and celebrate the bounty of summer” by participating in the contest, which takes place Sept. 7.

The Oak Park farmers market runs each Saturday through Oct. 26 on the parking lot of Pilgrim Church, 460 Lake Street.
