A 47-year-old Crown Point man died from multiple gunshot wounds Friday inside a Gary apartment in the 4400 block of Broadway.
The Lake County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Charles Branham. The coroner said Branham’s death was caused by bleeding out from the multiple wounds. His death was certified at 12:02 a.m. Saturday.
Family members identified Branham at the Lake County Forensic Science Center in Crown Point where the autopsy was completed on Saturday.
Gary police, the Lake County Prosecutor Homicide Task Force, and Lake County CSI are investigating the killing.
