Before beginning a series in San Francisco on Friday, the Cubs recalled infielder Nick Madrigal, who hit .488 in 11 games at Triple A Iowa. Madrigal hit leadoff against the Giants, while manager David Ross tried Mike Tauchman in the No. 2 slot.
