Delta Dental grant boosts Infant Welfare Society

The Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation recently presented the Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society with a $20,00 grant that supports greater access to oral health care and education for people in the area.

The grant award was part of the foundation’s annual Community Grants Program and was presented at a formal ceremony Jan. 8 with Delta Dental of Illinois leadership and Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society – The Children’s Clinic professionals.

Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society officials said it will use the $20,0000 grant funding to deliver oral health services to underserved children. As a result of this grant, the Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society estimates more than 4,000 underserved children will have access to equitable oral health, education, prevention and treatment, they said.

In 2024, Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation awarded more than $260,000 to 19 nonprofits and community organizations. More information about Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation’s Community Grants Program is at deltadentalil.com/community-grants.
