DePaul men fall to Butler 86-69 for their 11th loss in the last 14 games

INDIANAPOLIS — Pierre Brooks had 29 points and 13 rebounds to lead Butler past DePaul 86-69 on Saturday, handing the Blue Demons their 11th loss in 14 games.

N.J. Benson finished with 20 points and nine rebounds for DePaul (10-11, 1-9 Big East). CJ Gunn added 16 points, and Conor Enright had 12 points, six assists and two steals.

Jahmyl Telfort shot 7 of 12 from the field for 18 points and Finley Bizjack added 17 for the Bulldogs (9-11, 2-7).

Butler took the lead with 2:17 remaining in the first half and never looked back. The Bulldogs led 40-33 at halftime, with Brooks racking up 13 points, then pulled away with a 10-0 second-half run.
