Newly hired DePaul University head men’s basketball coach Chris Holtmann and his wife, Lori, in June paid $4 million for a six-bedroom, 5,500-square-foot mansion in Lincoln Park, not far from the school’s campus.
Holtmann, 52, was hired by DePaul in March after serving as the head men’s basketball coach at Ohio State University for close to seven years. Prior to that, he had been the head coach at Butler University.
In Lincoln Park, the Holtmanns’ new house was built in 2020 and is a custom-built, extra-wide house. The house has 4-1/2 bathrooms, two fireplaces, wide white oak plank flooring throughout, Holly Hunt lighting, Dornbracht and Kallista fixtures, a living room with oversized windows, a dining room with a built-in buffet and display shelves, and a kitchen with a 48-inch Wolf range, two large farmhouse sinks and a large island with waterfall countertops.
Other features include a primary bedroom suite with two fully customized and organized walk-in closets, a third floor with a family room with a wet bar and a kitchen station, and a lower level with a large rec room. Outside on the property are a built-in grill off the first level, a covered roof terrace above the garage with a TV, and a roof terrace above the top floor with another fireplace and TV.
Millie Rosenbloom, who represented the couple in the purchase, did not respond to a request for comment.
The house had a $62,649 property tax bill in the 2023 tax year.
Holtmann and his wife also own a five-bedroom, 6,481-square-foot house in Upper Arlington, Ohio. They paid $2.4 million in 2017 for that house.
