An 86-year-old driver of an SUV fatally hit a person in a parking lot Monday night in the Brainerd neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 8:45 p.m., a black SUV was entering a parking lot in the 8900 block of South Loomis Street when it struck a victim who suffered trauma to the head. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead.
No citations are pending, and detectives were investigating.
