Ducks vs. Blackhawks prediction
The Blackhawks crushed the Arizona Coyotes on Sunday, 7-4, for the second time in three games. Chicago erased an early 2-0 deficit by scoring four goals in the second period, including a pair from rookie sensation Connor Bedard, the Blackhawks’ lone bright spot this season.
The Ducks finished off a five-game homestand with consecutive losses to the Stars and Islanders as Anaheim allowed six goals in each defeat.
Anaheim defeated New Jersey and Ottawa as substantial underdogs earlier in the homestand, but the Ducks have given up at least five goals six times since the All-Star break.
In the first matchup this season at United Center in December, the Blackhawks blanked the Ducks, 1-0 behind 37 saves from Petr Mrazek. The Chicago goalie will start tonight in spite of losing his last six appearances in net.
Ducks vs. Blackhawks pick
Chicago has proven to lack consistency off a win by losing 15 of 16 times off a victory in its last game.
The Ducks will certainly be looking for a better effort after getting blitzed in the last two games. Anaheim is 4-2-1 in its last seven road contests, while leading scorer Frank Vatrano has tallied five goals in the past five away games.
Let’s back Anaheim to beat Chicago on the road.
