The Elgin City Council swore in the four winners of the April consolidated election Wednesday. New members Dustin Good and Steve Thoren as well as incumbents Corey Dixon and Carol Rauschenberger took the oath as the council said goodbye to Terry Gavin and Baldemar Lopez, both of whom chose not to seek reelection.
