An extra-alarm fire broke out Wednesday morning at an apartment building on the South Side in the Bridgeport neighborhood, fire officials said.
The fire started shortly after 5:30 a.m. at a 3-story building located at 3329 S. Morgan St., where a 2-11 alarm was called about an hour later, officials said.
The alarm was called off, but firefighters are on the scene chasing hot spots. No injuries have been reported in the fire.
Human services was called out to assist residents of the building. Thr cause of the blaze was not immediately known.
