The family of an Elgin teen fatally stabbed during a fight in Schaumburg Tuesday has been further heartbroken over the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office’s decision to not file murder charges against the 17-year-old defendant despite a recommendation from the Schaumburg Police Department.
