First-time Lakefront Games will include ‘largest game of Simon Says in Chicago history’

If you have a competitive streak, get ready to bring your best game to Navy Pier Sept. 7-8. According to an announcement Thursday, Navy Pier is hosting a first-time Lakefront Games event, with a near-Olympics variety of competitive activities over two days, including what is billed as the “largest game of Simon Says in Chicago history.”

  • Inflatables including obstacle courses, Gladiator Joust and life-size Hungry Hungry Hippos in Polk Bros Park.
  • Dunk tank and electric bull riding outside near Chicago Children’s Museum.
  • Giant soccer darts, axe throwing, inflatable archery, cornhole and can jam on the Sable Hotel porch.
  • Tricycle racing and giant pong outside near the Navy Pier Beer Garden.
  • Golf putting challenges along the South Dock.
  • Arcade games (Pac-Man, Golden Tee, racing games and others) in the Family Pavilion.
  • Reenactments of TV gameshows including “Family Feud,” “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy” in the Family Pavilion.
  • Board games in the Food Experience Culture Corner.
  • Game room foosball, pop-a-shot, air hockey and table tennis in the Door 7 lobby.
  • Simon Says with a DJ at 7 p.m. both nights at the Wave Wall Stage.
