Flooding unlikely from expected warm-up, but experts see potential issues for spring

While the warm-up predicted over the next few days is unlikely to prompt serious flooding along major rivers such as the Des Plaines and Fox, weather and waterway experts say cold and snowy winters like the one we’re experiencing could have an impact on possible spring floods.
