Forest Preserves of Cook County police are investigating a sexual assault reported Monday after a woman accepted a ride in Oak Forest.
Police said a man between the age of 45 and 55 assaulted the woman he offered a ride in his white SUV at about 6 p.m. Monday.
The 51-year-old woman was waiting at the bus stop at 159th Street and Cicero Avenue when she accepted the ride. Police say the man pulled into a service road of of Cicero Avenue on the edge of Midlothian Meadows, which is where he sexually assaulted the woman.
Police said they have increased patrols in Midlothian Meadows and the nearby area, and ask anyone with information to call 708-771-1001.
