As the NFL’s offseason coaching carousel continues to turn, another former Chicago Bears assistant coach has placed his home on the market, as former Bears offensive coordinator Luke Getsy and his wife, Tina, listed their six-bedroom, 5,610-square-foot house in southwest Waukegan on Feb. 7 for $1.67 million.
Getsy’s time with the Bears was short-lived. He signed on in early 2022 as the team’s offensive coordinator, and was fired last month after two seasons in the job. On Feb. 6, he was named the Las Vegas Raiders’ offensive coordinator.
Getsy’s house technically is inside Waukegan’s city limits but has a Libertyville mailing address. Built in 1998, the traditional-style home is in the Nickels and Dimes neighborhood and has five bathrooms, four fireplaces, new hardwood floors, new light fixtures, a newly renovated mudroom with custom built-ins and a kitchen with Sub-Zero and Thermador appliances and quartz countertops. Other features include a newly renovated office with custom built-ins, a “smart” system, a primary bedroom suite with a fireplace and dual vanities in the bathroom, and a lower level with a custom bar, an adjacent billiards area, a new projection screen TV and an exercise or multipurpose room.
Outside on the 1.86-acre property are a newly resurfaced swimming pool with a large attached hot tub, limestone fire pit, all-new outdoor lighting, perennial gardens and a pond at the far rear of the property.
Getsy paid $1.57 million in April 2022 for the house.
Listing agent Amy Seymour of @properties Christie’s International Real Estate declined to comment on the listing.
Former Bears defensive coordinator Alan Williams, who inexplicably left the team partway through the 2023 season, on Feb. 1 placed his five-bedroom, 4,450-square-foot house in Lake Forest for $2.799 million.
Getsy’s house had a $33,899 property tax bill in the 2022 tax year.
