Former Bears offensive coordinator Shane Waldron lists Green Oaks home for nearly $2M

Former Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Shane Waldron and his wife, Megan, have placed their six-bedroom, 4,393-square-foot house in Green Oaks on the market for $1.95 million, and they already have a contract pending to sell it.

Waldron, who on Feb. 6 was hired as the passing game coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars, joined the Bears in January 2024 under then-head coach Matt Eberflus. Nine games into Waldron’s tenure — with the team ranked 30th in the league in total offense and 24th in scoring — the Bears fired him in November.

Waldron and his wife listed the house, which is in Green Oaks but has a Libertyville mailing address on Feb. 7, and they found a buyer just two days later.

Built in 1994, the house has five bathrooms, a two-story foyer, a private home office, a great room with a gas fireplace and a kitchen that was remodeled in 2020 and that has high-end appliances, custom-built cabinetry, quartzite countertops, barn wood accents and a butler’s pantry.

Other features include a three-seasons room, a first-floor bedroom and a second-floor primary suite with two walk-in closets and a spa-like bath with heated floors and a steam shower. The lower level was finished in 2023 and has an exercise room, a wine cellar, an entertainment area, a recreation space for children, a craft room and an additional bedroom with a full bath. Outside on the 0.92-acre property are an in-ground saltwater pool and brick patios.

Through an opaque land trust, Waldron and his wife paid $1.85 million for the house in March 2024.

Listing agent Jeff Ohm did not respond to a request for comment.

The house had a $22,506 property tax bill in the 2023 tax year.
