Former Chicago Bears star quarterback Justin Fields on Sunday listed his six-bedroom, 5,876-square-foot house in Lake Forest for $2.1 million.
Fields, 25, was the Bears’ first-round draft pick in the 2021 NFL draft, and before the end of that year was their starting play-caller. The Bears decided to go in a different direction after posting a 7-10 record in the 2023 season and after holding the top overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, and the team traded Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers in March.
Through an opaque land trust that shields his identity, Fields paid $1.325 million in 2021 for the house in Lake Forest. Built in 2006, the house has six full bathrooms, three half bathrooms, five fireplaces, a first-floor primary bedroom suite with double vanities in the bathroom and a first-floor office with a custom desk and built-in shelves. The home also has a butler’s pantry, a kitchen with custom cabinetry and top-of-the-line appliances, a back staircase, a bonus suite and a family room with a two-story ceiling.
The home’s basement has a home theater, a new gym with mirrored walls and rubber floors and an additional bedroom suite with a whirlpool and a steam shower. Both the exterior and the interior of the home were painted this year, and a DaVinci roof was installed in 2024.
The house is set behind gates and sits on a 0.75-acre property that also features a covered patio and lush gardens.
Listing agent Jordan Winkler declined to comment on the listing.
Fields’ home had a $35,960 property tax bill in the 2022 tax year.
The house currently is listed for sale in an agents-only network.
