Free seminar on dealing with Alzheimer’s disease being held March 28 in the Northbrook Public Library

A free seminar “The Truth About Dealing with Alzheimer’s: Navigating Home, Healthcare, and Hope,” is being held March 28 at the Northbrook Public Library, 1201 Cedar Lane.

Presented by the Empowered Truth Series, the seminar is being held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Pollak Room, according to a news release.

The informational event is designed to provide knowledge and strategies for navigating the challenges of Alzheimer’s with grace, foresight, and courage, the release said. It will feature retired teacher Karen Craig, who will share her journey caring for her father.

The release said attendees will gain valuable insights from Karen’s experiences and engage with industry professionals who will offer guidance and expertise on navigating the complexities of Alzheimer’s disease.

Featured speakers will include Jennifer Wilson-Binotti, PsyD Clinical Psychologist & Neuropsychologist of Compassionate Neuropsychology, LLC, and Krista Williams, Director of Activities & Memory Care at Belmont Village Senior Living, according to the release.
