Friday forecast: Snow in parts of northern Illinois, temps in mid 30s

Weather officials are expecting snow showers Friday morning before conditions change to light rain depending on the temperature.

Current morning conditions at O’Hare International Airport are light snow with fog and mist at 32 degrees, and at Midway Airport conditions are the same at 33 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

There is a 50 to 90 percent chance of snow showers to continue throughout Friday into the night hours when there is a chance for a rain and snow mix as temperatures are expected to hover in the mid 30s.

Saturday, conditions are expected to be sunny with temperatures reaching about 37 degrees. Sunday is expected to be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers in the night hours. Temperatures Sunday are expected in the low 40s.
