Glenview man charged with sexual assault against a juvenile

A Glenview man has been charged with felony predatory criminal sexual assault against a juvenile in the north suburb, authorities said.

Marcos Sanchez-Hernandez, 39, of the 300 block of 3rd Street in Glenview is charged with predatory criminal sexual assault in connection with an alleged  May 26 incident, police said in a release. They said that on May 26, about 4:30 p.m. Glenview police responded to the 300 block of 3rd Street for a report of predatory criminal sexual assault.

The initial investigation and witness statements revealed that the resident, Sanchez-Hernandez, allegedly sexually assaulted a juvenile acquaintance. Sanchez-Hernandez fled the home before officers responded, the release said. It said that on May 27 Glenview detectives located Sanchez-Hernandez at 243 Monroe Road, Des Plaines, where he was taken into custody, and on May 28, he was charged. Additionally, he was held on a Lake County Warrant for failure to appear on a DUI.

On May 29, Sanchez-Hernandez was transported to Skokie Courthouse for a Conditions Hearing.
