A 12-year-old girl was transported to a Chicago hospital following a Sunday afternoon crash in Grayslake that also injured five other people, according to police.
The girl was ejected from an SUV after the vehicle collided with a 2025 Chevrolet Corvette. The collision happened at 3:24 p.m. west of the intersection of Peterson and Midlothian roads, according to Grayslake police.
Police said the 2020 GMC SUV was westbound on Peterson Road when it attempted to make a left turn. The Corvette, which was eastbound on Peterson, collided with the SUV, police said.
The SUV rolled, ejecting the girl, who was in the backseat, police said.
All six people involved were taken to area hospitals, and the child was later transferred to Lurie Children’s Hospital, police said.

Police closed Peterson Road while officers investigated. The Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team is also investigating.
Grayslake police did not respond Tuesday to requests for more information.
