Calumet City police said they are asking for the public’s help in investigating the shooting death of a Chicago man, while authorities also reported recent homicides in Harvey and Sauk Village.
Calumet City police said they responded at 8 a.m. May 4 to the 600 block of Chappell Avenue for a report of an unresponsive man and found a 27-year-old who was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was identified by the Cook County medical examiner’s office as Tyshawn Drinker Little, of the 4000 block of West 21st Place, Chicago, and had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Police said they are working with the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force in the investigation, and that anybody with information should contact police at 708-868-2500.
In Harvey, a 24-year-old East Hazel Crest man suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the 15100 block of Western Avenue, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Germany Israel, of the 17300 block of Throop Street, was pronounced dead at the scene at 5 a.m. May 5, and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the office.
An 18-year-old Sauk Village man, Kato Davis, of the 200 block of Clark Lane, was found shot in the roadway in the Candlelight Village mobile home park the evening of May 5, according to authorities.
He was taken to Franciscan Health Dyer in Dyer, Indiana, where he was pronounced dead just before 10 p.m., according to the Lake County, Indiana, coroner’s office. An autopsy performed the following day determined his death was a homicide.
