Homicides were reported recently in Dixmoor and Riverdale by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
In Dixmoor, 31-year-old Deslyn McGraw, of the 100 block of West 155th Street in Harvey, suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the 14600 block of South Leavitt Avenue in Dixmoor, according to the office.
He was pronounced dead shortly after 11 p.m. Feb. 12 at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the office.
A Riverdale man, Derrick Horne Jr., 45, of the 14500 block of South Union Avenue, was shot in the abdomen in the 14300 block of South Lowe Avenue in Riverdale, according to the office.
He was pronounced dead at 7:43 p.m. Feb. 9 at UChicago Medicine at Ingalls Memorial in Harvey, and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the office.
Dixmoor and Riverdale police did not return calls for more information about the homicides.
