Lake County has seen twice as many gun-related homicides so far this year than at the same point in 2021, driving home the reasons behind Friday’s launch of the new Gun Violence Prevention Initiative. “This is a plan designed to reach people before the shooting starts,” State’s Attorney Eric Rinehart said.
