The Lake County Coroner has released the name of an Indianapolis man who was shot and killed August 26.
Deon Hawkins, 33 of the 4900 block of Brock St., was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound at Methodist Hospital Northlake campus at 11:19 a.m., according to a coroner’s release. He was killed in the 5000 block of W. 19th Place, the release said.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Department CSI and Lake County Prosecutor’s Homicide Task Force assisted Gary Police.
