Introducing the 2024 Daily Southtown Boys Soccer All-Area Team

Another strong season for Southland sees state finalists De La Salle and Lemont lead selections.

First Team

Tyler Chrisman, Lemont, senior, midfielder: Scored five goals and dished out 15 assists for Class 2A fourth-place finisher. All-Midwest choice. Repeat all-state and all-area. All-conference.

Antonio Ferreira, Marian Catholic, senior, forward: Tied program record for goals in a season with 34 and broke program record for career goals with 90. Added 11 assists. All-state. Three-time all-area. Conference offensive MVP.

Ismael Gomez, Lockport, senior, midfielder: Tallied 34 goals and 13 assists for sectional champs. All-state and all-conference.

Abraham Horta, Argo, senior, forward: Scored 28 goals and added 22 assists. All-state. Conference player of the year.

Adrian Lisowski, Lemont, junior, goalkeeper: Record 16 shutouts, including four in the playoffs. Had 0.71 goals-against average. All-sectional and all-conference.

Omar Ortiz, Bloom, senior, forward/midfielder: Finished with 17 goals and 16 assists, pushing career totals to 83 goals and 87 assists. Three-time all-state and all-area. All-conference.

Alex Panduro, De La Salle, junior, forward/midfielder: The 2024 Daily Southtown Boys Soccer Player of the Year scored 36 goals, including 13 in the playoffs, for Class 2A runners-up. Added 15 assists. All-sectional.

Mario Ramirez, De La Salle, senior, forward/midfielder/defender/goalkeeper: Scored 20 goals and added 16 assists while playing every position. All-state. Lawless Award co-winner as conference MVP.

Brandon Razo, Mount Carmel, senior, forward: Poured in 45 goals and dished out 15 assists. All-state. Lawless Award winner as conference MVP.

Matthew Suchecki, St. Laurence, senior, defender: Led defense to eight shutouts. Contributed 12 goals and four assists. All-sectional and all-conference.

Liam Treacy, Lincoln-Way East, senior, defender: Anchored defense that recorded 12 shutouts. All-state and all-conference.

Second Team

Matt Bettenhausen, Lincoln-Way Central, senior, defender: Led defense to seven shutouts. All-sectional and all-conference.

Damian Gal, Andrew, senior, midfielder: Had four goals and three assists while playing major defensive role. All-state and all-conference.

Jacob Hareza, Lockport, junior, forward: Scored 17 goals and added 15 assists. All-sectional and all-conference.

Adam Jedrzejczyk, Oak Forest, senior, goalkeeper: Recorded six shutouts and a 1.25 goals-against average. Conference player of the year.

Krystian Paluch, Reavis, senior, defender: Led defense to four shutouts. Added 12 goals and six assists. All-state and all-conference.

Angelo Piech, Brother Rice, senior, midfielder: Scored 28 goals and dished out 16 assists. Repeat all-area. All-sectional and all-conference.

Jimmy Piko, Providence, senior, forward: Piled up 23 goals and 16 assists. All-sectional. Lawless Award co-winner for conference MVP.

Adrian Tavera, Stagg, senior, midfielder: Defensive standout on team that posted six shutouts. All-sectional and all-conference.

Dylan Walsh, Oak Lawn, senior, midfielder: Scored 22 goals and added 15 assists. All-sectional and all-conference.

Logan Wilkins, Beecher, senior, midfielder: Tallied 44 goals and 29 assists. Broke program record for career goals with 138 and career assists with 84. Three-time all-area. All-sectional and conference player of the year.

Kamden Williams, Lincoln-Way East, senior, forward: Scored 17 goals and dished out nine assists. All-state and all-conference.
