A Cook County judge sentenced Jussie Smollett to 150 days in Cook County jail as well as fines and restitution for his conviction of lying to police in a staged hate crime. After the sentence that followed a long lecture by the judge, Smollett declared repeatedly, “I am not suicidal. I did not do this.”
