The Kane County Health Department and AgeGuide are partnering to host a free webinar for older adults, their families and caregivers that will provide practical information that promotes independence and well-being, officials announced recently.
The event, called “Living Well in Kane County: Resources for Older Adults and Caregivers,” will take place at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 17, with a second session at 7 p.m. that day, according to a news release from Kane County. It will teach participants about services that can help older adults stay active, connected and supported within their community, officials said in the release.
“This event is part of our commitment to supporting the health and independence of older adults and their families in Kane County,” Michael Isaacson, executive director of the Kane County Health Department, said in the release. “We’re proud to partner with AgeGuide to help connect older adults, their families and caregivers with the information and resources that support good health.”
The event is expected to provide information on accessing health services, public benefits, caregiving support, financial and legal assistance and community programs, according to the release.
Spanish translation will be available, the release stated.
When signing up for the webinar, participants can submit questions during registration that will be addressed during the presentation or in the question-and-answer session, officials said.
