The pending 2-cent gas tax increase will both offset RTA sales tax money the Kane County Board plans to take from the transportation department and provide it with a bit more cash than expected to address nearly $200 million worth of underfunded projects KDOT has on its to-do list. But trucking companies that continue to grow on the northern end of the county are voicing concerns.
