Libertarian Kenneth Martin Mattes is one of five candidates running for two seats on McHenry County Board District 1 in the Nov. 8 general election. The other candidates are Democrats Theresa Meshes and Michael Vijuk, and Republicans Matthew M. Kunkle and Tom Wilbeck.
