The Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings will get the main stage for the final week of the NFL’s regular season, slotted to play the Sunday night showcase game at Ford Field with the NFC North championship and the top NFC seed on the line.
That contest will begin at 7:20 p.m. with a pair of 14-2 teams looking to punch a ticket into the divisional round of the postseason.
The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers, meanwhile, are slotted for a noon kickoff Sunday at Lambeau Field in a game that has minimal stakes for the visitors. The Bears will head to Green Bay this weekend looking to snap a 10-game losing streak that dates back to late October. The Bears have also lost 11 consecutive games in their rivalry series with the Packers.
The Packers, at 11-5, have already clinched a playoff spot but are vying for seeding with the Washington Commanders, who have the same record and will head to Dallas to play the Cowboys at noon on Sunday.
Green Bay rallied late but still lost to the Vikings 27-25 in both team’s penultimate game at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday. Now the Packers will get their chance to rebound against a Bears team that is winless since Oct. 13 and coming off an ugly 6-3 prime time loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night.
Following Sunday’s game, the Bears will dive right into a pivotal coaching search in an attempt to reverse their fortunes as they watch their three division foes move on to the postseason.
