Kids wasted no time soaking in the fun at the new splash pad in Elmwood Park

It wasn’t the warmest day to open a new water park when Elmwood Park officials cut the ribbon on splash pad at Elmgrove Park.

Still, though, kids ran right through the water immediately after officials marked the official opening of the ribbon on the Park and Splash Pad at public park in the west suburb. It features several stations where kids can get soaked.

The ribbon cutting was held July 1.

The small water park complements the village’s Aquatic Center.
