A man was killed Monday evening when he apparently lost control of his motorcycle and struck a tree in Tower Lakes, according to Lake County authorities.
The coroner’s office identified him Wednesday as Mark Demski, 56, of Lake Barrington.
Authorities said Demski was riding his Harley east on Roberts Road at around 6:15 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve just west of the North Paddock Lane intersection.
Demski was pronounced dead at the scene by Wauconda paramedics. Preliminary autopsy results showed that Demski died from blunt force injuries, the coroner’s office said.
The accident remains under investigation.
