New cases of COVID-19 are climbing once again, with nearly 6,000 new cases reported Friday alone — the most in a single day since Feb. 4. Lake County this week joins DuPage County in being at “medium” risk for COVID-19, while the Cook County Department of Public Health issued a warning for suburban Cook County.
